Warren County, Tennessee Land Grants 1824-1827

Land grants numbered 1 through 2426 from grant books numbered 1 through 3 are abstracted and indexed in this book. Each entry gives the original grant record by date and entry number and provides the original page number, date of entry, grantee, owners of adjoining land and land descriptions. A map of Warren County circa 1832 is included. These records are valuable to researchers because many early Warren County records have been lost.

The index includes full names and locations mentioned in the grant records.

Warren County, Tennessee Plat Books

Each volume includes a brief overview of the county which treats geography, water courses, early towns, county seats, mills, courts, schools and churches. Each entry gives the original land records by date and entry number and provides the original page number, date of entry, date of survey, date of land transfer when appropriate, persons (including owners of adjoining land), land descriptions, chain carriers and witnesses of land transfers. These records are especially valuable to researchers because many early Warren County records have been lost.
